Annual Meeting

Hey All,
The Annual Meeting is planned at the North Charleston City Hall on January 12th 2009 at 7:00pm. Please make plans to attend this meeting as it is our most important to start the new year.

Dipping

A new craze, known as “dipping”, involves people using pictures from Google Earth to identify homes and communities that have large outdoor pools. Once a venue is found, the youngsters use social networking sites including Facebook and Bebo to meet for impromptu swims and pool parties.

It’s in everyone’s interest to keep an eye out for suspicious activity around the Woodhill Place pool, once the covers are lifted again next summer, and never be afraid to politely ask anyone you don’t know for their pool pass.

If you’re in the pool, and you get asked for your pass by someone else, be polite about it, and don’t look at it as a confrontation.

Porch painting contractors

For those that are interested in getting their porches painted there are a few options.

Kathy May sent this email and asked me to post it here on the website-

Okay, David’s crew will do painting on all of the porches for all the homeowners of WHP – for $150 and the other guy will do it for $75 = which case, I don’t know his work and David and his crew has been doing a lot of great work for us and they take pride of doing right the first time.  In other words, you get what you pay for. So if anyone is interested,

Here are the following contructors:

1.  this is David’s crew contact – 843.991.3551 and tell him that Kathy from WHP recommended you*…
2. Mario Jones – (don’t know his work) 843.224.3675 – tell him that Kathy (Lorraine’s friend) from Woodhill Place…
3. Willie Carpenter – (don’t know his work – flyer left at door) 843.709-6717 – from $175-250

*David has been doing our gutters and he did our Pool gate/fence and he has helped this community by advising the board what to ask for from other vendors and make suggestions in helping this community.  He has the contract for other repairs needed in this community.

4. Joe Pool – (work not known, but he did Mr. Bailey’s porch & door 6297-D RFR) 843.478.2411 from $175

crap – no, not pretty at all!

I am a homeowner who watches people walk by my house several times a day with their dogs on leashes and they rarely pick up their litter. We have a virtual mine field of piles outside our back door. I have a dog as well and I’ve been guilty of not picking up her litter, but not stooped so low as to go to someone’s else’s back door and watch my dog leave a steaming pile and not pick it up. I am reformed now and I pick up her litter, but I am guilty of not putting a leash on her. I think dogs should be allowed to run around the pond and enjoy their outing, but I also think the owners should use discretion about that depending on the dog and be very close by and pick up behind them. Please post your feelings about this. The dog owners in here should pull together to make sure our pets don’t become pests to others. Fines are imminent.

Volunteers Needed ~!~

Hello Fellow Homeowners!

We need volunteers to do a Easter Egg Hunt for the children in this community!  We would like to have it sometime in the week of Easter – we could have it on a Saturday, March 22nd at the Courtyard.  We need donations and volunteer to hide the eggs and make it a fun day for all of us in the community.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and any assistance to pull this is will be appreciated!!

Email to board@woodhillplace.com  thank you for taking the time and let’s get this community to where it should be…

Landscaping Plant Day!!

windowslivewritercommunityimages-e9e1p2030031-thumb.jpgSince our last meeting with Clean Up Day in our Community was such a success! We would love to do it again and this time, it is to get the front area to look beautiful and we need donations of shovels and a few good strong men! To assist us in moving the palm from the front that is blocking the our lovely beautiful sign out front to the back….so please…come again and show your support and lets this community rocking!

It’s Not Nice Is It?

Dog Crap

Whilst walking around the community this afternoon, I came across numerous piles like this.

It looks revolting, smells terrible,  makes a mess when you tread in it, and perhaps get it inside your condo, and can spread disease.

The board and management will follow up and fine anyone found allowing their animals to foul within the community without clearing it up afterwards.

If you see anyone allowing their dog to foul everywhere without clearing it up, then feel free to report them to either the board or management.

If you own a dog,  then please clean up all traces of dog crap, and dispose of it at home.

Speed Limit

Speed LimitAlthough most people drive around Woodhill in a safe and sensible manner, there are a few that don’t. Please remember that the speed limit within the community is 18mph. This is for your own safety, and the safety of your neighbors.  Please remind your guests of the speed limit too.
